More than 80 high school students from across Connecticut recently embarked on an eye-opening journey into the maritime, shipbuilding, and defense industries at a special Junior Achievement Maritime site visit to Birdon USA in Portland, CT.

The unwavering commitment to developing Rhode Island's future workforce, particularly for the vital submarine industrial base, took center stage on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Junior Achievement of Rhode Island's Morris J.W. Gaebe Profile in Excellence Awards.

A major stride for workforce development kicked off December 10-12, 2024, as Junior Achievement of Rhode Island hosted its JA Inspire Career Exploration Fair.
