Maritime Sparks Early Interest with First "JA in a Day"

JA Maritime celebrated its first "JA in a Day" at Charles Barnum Elementary on April 8th, engaging over 200 K-3 students in maritime career exploration. Volunteers from Naval Submarine Base New London and General Dynamics Electric Boat led interactive lessons, connecting classroom learning to real-world opportunities in the maritime industry. 

The day successfully introduced young learners to potential maritime careers, thanks to the dedicated volunteers who brought their expertise into the classroom. Students gained valuable insights into the practical applications of their studies. 

JA Maritime extends its gratitude to the volunteers from the Naval Submarine Base and Electric Boat, as well as the staff at Charles Barnum Elementary School, for their partnership in making this inaugural event a success. This "JA in a Day" marks a significant step in inspiring future maritime professionals from a young age.
